Volunteers with blood drives helps with youth sporting events, active in her church community. She works at a nursing home and loves to visit with the residents and bring her smile and energy to them.

Savannah is a natural leader. She is an amazing girl and kids love to be around her. She was voted Homecoming Queen and that was a perfect fit for her. She has gone through so much her senior year with being diagnosed late December with Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma after taking a fall on the basketball court. She now spends time in Sanford Children’s Hospital for treatment and she has grown to love the pediatrics department and strives to work in that type of unit one day as she is going on to pursue a Nursing degree. She has handled her journey with such grace, it is truly remarkable to see in a seventeen-year-old young lady. She is facing the obstacle head-on and not letting it stop her from having the best senior year she can. She is taking the approach of appreciating each new day with a positive attitude and a thankful heart. Savannah is without a doubt a very worthy recipient of this award.
