Coca-Cola Bottlers Association celebrates 100 years of bottling and distributing soda

One hundred years ago, returnable glass bottles of Coca-Cola were distributed by delivery people with mules. Delivery and industry practices have changed drastically since 1913, and the Coca-Cola Bottlers Association (CCBA) has driven innovation and supported bottlers such as Faber family-owned Viking Coca-Cola Bottling Co. every step of the way.

Michael J. Faber, CEO of Viking Coca-Cola and current chairman of the Coca-Cola Bottlers Association, recently hosted Coca-Cola bottlers from across the U.S. to celebrate this historical 100-year anniversary. Faber said the objective of the Coca-Cola Bottlers Association has been to assist its members in reducing costs, improving efficiency and protecting value. He said the association plays an essential role in every bottler’s business through the services it provides and the vibrant spirit of a Coca-Cola bottler that it maintains.
